Monday, December 16 2013

We woke up early and went to campus to do morning exercise. All of us came on time. In this morning exercise, we are (Teguh and Sari) as the leaders became instuctor to lead the exercise. Before we commmence it, we prayed together to start our day hopefully. Then, we started warming up. We did so many styles to stretch out our muscle. It was done for getting relax.

After morning exercise, we went back to our accomodation to took a bath and prepare ourselves before going to campus again then. As the leaders, we reminded our friends to do not come late.

Next, we had breakfast together in dining room. Hilda accompanied us by delivering her speech that was about Life Style, Air Regulation. She said that air regulation is very important to know. There was Miss. Yulia at the time. She enjoyed her breakfast as well. She is our lecturer for 3 days of this week.

Before Miss. Yulia class was begun, Mr. Aria ran our class for about an hour to remind and give us some advices about preparation to graduate from STKIP-PGRI PONTIANAK as soon as possible. He said that we have to prepare it from now. Then, we also discussed about our buddies perfomance. This week is the time for our buddies to perfom their ability. We made schedule for that, because it is impossible to perfom all of them in a day. After all was clear, Miss. Yulia took over the class. Morphology is the subject. Miss. Yulia asked us to make a simple essay which is related about Morphology. So, we spent our class time to make it.

When the time to have lunch was coming, there was no speech. It happened because everyone was busy to finish their opportunity. We had to finish it as soon as possible. We did not have a lot of time. It had to be submitted on Tuesday. After lunch, we actually could take a nap, but we had so many things to do, so we just went back to our accomodation for having pray and went back to the campus again. Next, we were in our class to finish our jobs.

At 02.45 o’clock, it was teaching buddies time for those who had schedule to teach their buddies. Most of us had buddies at that time, because tommorow is the time of our buddies performance. We had to prepare it as well as we can. Some of us only taught up to 4 p.m and went jogging after. They were Sari, Heni, Gusti and Dian. They started from campus up to Pondok Poteng and got back to accomodation again after. Recently, jogging has become our new hobby. Besides It can make our body healthy, jogging also can refresh our brain. After that, all of went us back to our accomodation to do our routine such as taking a bath and having a west pray. Sometimes, we wash our clothes if we have enough time. We also prepared ourselves to go to campus again for having a dinner, because dinner was waiting for us. We arrived at the campus again at 07.55 p.m. We had dinner together in dining room. There was no speech, because Rapi got sick. He was as the speaker for that time. So, we just did our opportunity. We went back again at 10 p.m to take a rest, refresh ourselves from all of the activity that made us tired. So, we will be ready to face the next day.

Tuesday, December 17 2013

This is the second day. Five of us (Heni, Rissa, Hilda, Sunarto, and Rapi) didn’t come to do morning exercise, because they got sick. The rest did it without them. Mr. Aria joined us at the time. We prayed before starting our activity. We started from warming up and finished with yoga.

We went back (after finished morning exercise) to accomodation with sweat on our bodies and stood in line to take a bath. While we were waiting for the turn, some of us did their own activities, such as finishing opportunity, listening music, and cleaning bedroom.

After preparation such as taking a bath and dressing, we immediately went to campus and had breakfast. Today was sunny day. All of us showed our cheerful. In dining room, they made fun by imitating some walking stlyes. We laughed together when Rapi was imitating Risa’s, Meisa’s, and Hilda’s walking style. It was the special moment that we will miss one day after we will be back to Pontianak. Then, this morning was Rapi’s turn to deliver his speech. It was like a brief speech, because Rapi just delivered his speech for more or less five minutes. He talked about Bali is Surfing. Before going to class, we finished our discussion at 8 a.m, and we entered the class then.

It was the second day with Miss. Yulia. All of us had finished our essays, and we had to present them one by one. Our friends had different topics those are related to Morphology, such as “The Important Things of Morphology In Learning English” that was written by Gusti and “Selection The Best Word of Morphology To Make Good Essay” that was written by Sari. We could not present all, because of the limited time. We will continue it tommorow. Before we have our lunch, we took pictures together with Miss. Yulia. It was a nice moment.

It was time to have lunch again, we went to the dining room to see the food, because we were so hungry. Then, after we knew the lunch is ready, we took and enjoyed our lunch. After that, Fiddin delivered his speech that was about North Korea.

Lunch, speech, and discussion had been finished. After that, it was time for going back to accomodation again, to have a pray and take a nap. Actually, most of us did not take a nap, because the time was very limited. We always have something to do in our accomodation like ironing, washing, and sometimes we just talk each other while lying on bed.

This afternoon, it was our buddies performance time, but just some of us that would perform their buddies such as Teguh, Aswan, Hilda, and Sari. Sari cancelled her schedule, because her buddies were not ready yet. Teguh was the lucky one, because his buddies were ready to perform all of the materials those had to be shown. This afternoon we also wore the same clothes that had we made before. That clothes is the uniform of second generation students of Acceleration Program. We called it prison clothes, because it really seems like prison uniform from behind especially. It was so funny, but it does not matter for us. We like it.

Dinner time in the second day of this week, we ate cheerfully because we were so happy of today. There was no speech tonight. As the speaker, Rissa was not ready to deliver her speech. The reason was starting from last Sunday up to tomorrow, we were too busy with other opportunities. We had to finish our opportunities as soon as possible, such as writing essay which was about Academic Writing, TEFL, Listening, and preparing ourselves to present opportunity that was given by Miss. Yulia. So, we did all of our opportunities very soon. There were Mr. Aria and Mr. Pradono talking each other, and also Mrs. Niarti that was talking with Miss. Yulia. Then, when the time shown almost 10.00 p.m, we went back home to take a night rest. Accomodation is our home.

The third day was coming. Morning exercise, we still cheered -up, made jokes, talked a lot but nonsense while doing exercise.

Taking a bath, washing clothes, ironing, cleaning the room, listening music in the morning, lying on bed, and doing our opportunities are some nice things to do. We did in our spare time while waiting in turn to take a bath. After finished taking a bath and dressing, we went to campus to have breakfast as usual. Fried rice and omelette were our breakfast this morning and Risa was the speaker. She talked about suicide.

It is the third day with Miss. Yulia. We continued our presentation yesterday. We still had Sari, Niarti, Heri, and Teguh as the speakers. Teguh was the last speaker, he presented “Morphology Can Help Students To Get More New English Words.” We discussed about it together. We talked about the important things of morphology for teachers, students. Why we should learn it, and so on. We got a lot of knowledge about it.

After finished Miss. Yulia class, it was time to recharge our energy. That was lunch time. Miss. Yulia didn’t join us, because she prepared herself to go back to Pontianak at the moment. We should go back at 01.30 p.m, because we would take picture together wearing our new clothes (prison clothes). For boys, they must use black trousers and long black skirt with black viel for girls.

The time to take picture was coming. All of us had come. We were ready. For girls, they sat on chairs with Nanda, Mrs. Ana, Mr. and Mrs. Aria. While the boys stood up behind the girls with Riyan. After that session (formal session), we took picture based on roommate and pair. We shown our free styles that we liked best. Some of us took picture with their buddies that came at the time as well. We were really lucky to be students of Acceleration Program. This moment will never be forgotten.

Actually, we still wanted to take picture, we were still not satisfied yet, but the time for buddies was coming. That was the second day of buddies performance. We moved to accompany our buddies. All of them performed properly. That was enough to make us as their tutor proud of them.

            Almost 5 o’clock we went back, took a bath, prayed a west and went to the campus again. At campus, we saw our picture together that we took in the afternoon. There are so many funny styles and we laughed each other.

Thursday, December 19 2013

It was gloomy day because of rain. The rain was falling down, the chilly weather made some of us decided to sleep again. We could not do morning exercise as usual. The rain would make us sodden. When we did not do morning exercise, we just stayed at accomodation. The chilly weather had made us lazy to take a bath, but we had to go to campus. We had class.

Some of them still came late. We did not give them any punishment, because actually it is their awareness to do not come late. We remind every moment and everyday. When all of us were already in dining room, we sat there. This morning we had fried banana and fried cempedak for breakfast.

We was sitting, enjoyed our breakfast when Mrs. Diah came with her husband. She is the lecturer today. Listening is the subject. She was not in a good condition actually, because of flu but she still taught us perfectly. Last meeting, we had opportunity from her and we discussed it today. It was about IELTS. IELTS is more difficult than TOEFL we think. The kinds of the questions are so complicated. Then, Mrs. Diah shared her experience when she was still in college. She said that there is no one stupid, but just someone who is less in effort. There is nothing impossible for us to get what we want as long as we do effort for it.  Finally after our class finished, she gave us recording to practice listening skill when we have spare time later on.

We had special lunch because it was rare to have. It was Bubur Pedas. We ate together. It was a good moment to eat something hot and spicy because today was cloudy and the weather was cold enough. There were Mrs. Diah with her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Aria joined together with us.

In the night, we watched movie in the class together as a parting before we go back to our hometowns. The title of the movie that we watched was Husk. It is about murder action. It is a scary movie, but we love it.

The weather was cloudy today, but we still did morning exercise as usual. It was the last morning exercise in this year, because holidays are coming. Almost all of us will go home.

 Being back to accomodation to take a bath was the next acticity. Some of us were lying on the bed. While waiting for turn, sometimes we iron and order fried rice to Mrs. Hendro.

After dressing, we went to campus to have breakfast and we still had a class today. We had fried cempedak for our breakfast. We like cempedak.

Actually, it was still Mrs. Diah’s class for Listening subject today, but she went back to Pontianak yesterday because she had a meeting there. Finally, Mr. Aria took over the class. He gave us challenge to speak up. We talked about buddy program that we had done before. We shared experience each others. For Dian, Risa, and Fiddin, their buddies did not come to do buddy program. For Sunarto who had six buddies, Mr. Aria gave some Sunarto’s buddies to Risa and Fiddin.

It was the last day for our buddies to perform. After finished all of the programs we went to Kak Indah. We bought meatball with our buddies. It was our treat, because they had done as well as they can. It was to make us closer with them as well. We ate together, and there was a funny story about Meisa. When we was eating, she used soybean sauce. She put it into her bowl, and suddenly all of the sauce spilled into her bowl.

In the night, we had dinner without Hilda, Heri, and Rapi. They had gone back to their hometowns since the afternoon. It was felt unusual. There were only Heni, Meisa, Risa, Kak Eva, and Mrs. Aria who were talking. Kak Eva is the first English Student of STKIP-PGRI PONTIANAK. She came here to consult with Mr. Aria about her small thesis. The other boys were watching movie in class room. After that, they had schedule to play futsal at 10 p.m. They would go there with Nanda.

Saturday, December 21 2013

On Saturday, we had no morning excercise, no class and no activity. We were free, but for today we had schedule to jog with Saprian and Fajar Rexy. They are Aswan’s and Hilda’s buddies. Actually, others buddies wanted to join us, but because today was drizzling so they did not come.

We went to Roban Mountain on foot. It was started from campus at 6.30 o’clock. It only spent time for about 30 minutes. We were easy to get tired, because we have less exercise here. We did not run. We spent for about more than an hour. We arrived there at 7 o’clock and continued to climb Roban Mountain next.

After that, we had to go up strairs to reach on the top of the mountain. The stairs were slippery, it made us walked carefully. On the journey, there were so many banana trees and durian trees. Finally, we reached the top of the mountain at 8 o’clock.

On the top of mountain, we saw beautiful landscape of Singkawang city. We stayed there for about 2 hours. We enjoyed breeze there.

At 10 o’clock, we descended the mountain. We passed through a different way that we used before. It was a sheer part, we must take care each others. We must be careful.

Every Saturday and Sunday morning, it is our bad habit. We are rare to go to campus for having our breakfast. Even though we come, it must be already noon. It happened today too. Today, we had delicious breakfast. We had mung bean and sticky porridge. Some of boys prefered staying at accomodation till noon than having breakfast first.

We came back to campus from Roban Moutain almost at 11 o’clock. We immediately went to dining room to have our brunch. There was still no one in dining room before. After eating, we took some mathoa trees to be brought to our hometown, because tomorrow some of us will go home. After that, we went back to accomodation for taking a bath. We were being tired. We wanted to take a nap as soon as possible after taking a bath.

The time was coming. It was the time where everyone was so hard to go anywhere. It happened because of rain. We felt it. We waited for the right time to go to campus to do everything nice. It is true that some of us prefer for being in the campus than accomodation, because the environment around campus is so beautiful to see. We can get so much inspiration to do our opportunity, especially opportunity from Miss. Desi. It is about making material with the questions. It really needs variations of material, and a nice landscape can give us much inspiration. We can not deny that our campus has very beautiful view around it, with Poteng Mountain behind as the background.

In the night, we did not have something different to do. We stayed at campus which was accompanied by rain. It was cold enough. We moved out to the class and did such as watching movie, listening music, and everything. The difference was we were not intact anymore. Some of us have left and the rest is just 6 people. Sunato, Heni, and Sari had left this centre today. After finished, we just be back to our home to have a nice rest, a nice sleep in the night of this weekend.

            We have arrived on the last day of this week. It is an amazing week, we think. We have done everything during this week. We agree that it is a long week which is full of activities, efforts, feelings, good things, bad things, and everything.

            We did everything as usual from the morning till the time to go to sleep was coming. The weather which was not good could not force us to stop studying gradually. If we can not do it at campus, we still can do it at accommodation. Nothing can stop us to finish every single opportunity that we have got here. We do not want to waste our time for something useless. We are here for getting knowledge and experience as much as possible. The time is not a lot. It is not long. It is just about 4 months. We feel all of these are just a little bit of everything that we can do more. We are lucky being students of Acceleration Program. We are trained by the condition, activity that never stops coming. We say to ourselves to be always consistent studying hard, while hoping to the god that nice things will come to us because of everything that we will have finished in this centre in the beginning of February, next year.

            Long holidays are waiting for us. It will be started officially next week to greet new year 2014. They are lucky who can go home, but those who decided to stay in this centre basically much luckier. Those who still stay here still can finish their opportunity maximally without any annoyance. We say to ourselves to stay focus by taking the benefit of long holidays. Those who decided to go back probably will be busy with other activities which are different. When they come back here again, it will feel like they will start from the beginning again after having long holidays. It is just a parable.

            As the end, we (Teguh and Sari) just want to say thank you very much for everything to Mr. Aria and family, all of our friends as well. It is an honorary could be the leaders of the week, the last weekly leaders in this year. It is an amazing and extraordinary week in the end of this year (2013).
